MANAWATU COUNTY | COUNCIL. ["OTICE is hereby given that - it is the intention of the Manawatu County Council to raise a Loan tinder the provisions of " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," and amendments, and under the provisions of " The Manawatu County Loan and Em- | powering Act, 1917," and Amendment Act, 1919. Such Loan shall be for a period of year's and rate of interest to be 5i p ercentum per annum with 1 per centum per [ annum for sinking fund, for — 1. (a.) The extension of the line of the tramway into the ' bed of the Kangitifeei Eiver. (b) The laying of new sidings to the line of the tramway, and the relaying of any part or parts of the existing line of the tramway. (c) The erection and acquisition of buildings, structures, machinery, and plant for the purposes of the tramway, and the making of alterations and additions in and to existing buildings, structures, machinery and plant. (d) The acquisition of any land or °state or interest in land for the purposes of the tramway or of any buildings or works connected therewith. (e) The acquisition of additional locomotives, wagons and carriages for the purposes of the tramwav. (f) The repayment to the Council's General Account of sum of Two thousand nine hundred and two pounds expended thereon for the purposes of the tramway. (g) The acquisition, erection, and equipment of a stone crushing and elevating plant. (h) The acquisition of roadmaking plant and machinery, and the refunding to the General Account of the sum of One hundred and three pounds expended for such purpose. 2. The sum to be borrowed is £30,000, 3. As security for payment of interest and sinking fund on such loan it is proposed to levy a special rate of l-5d in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Manawatu. Such special rate to be an annual recurring rate for 36h years or until the loan is fully paid off. 4 It is proposed to pay the cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest and sinking fund out of loan A.
