OWNERSHIP OF LAKE BEDS.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright, ROTORTJA, June 23. In reference to the Maori claim for ownership of lake beds, the Arawas, through Mr F. Earl, solicitor, submitted to the At-torney-General proposals for a settlement without further Court proceedings. The Minister replied that he was willing to meet the Arawas, with their legal advisers, suggesting vember for the meeting.
