| A largely attended meeting of i trainers and jockeys was held f last evening at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's rooms, over 60 being present, to discuss the circular letter issued to licensed trainers and jockeys by Sir George Clifford, in regard to formidg a combined. Trainers' and Jockeys' Un-registered Association, The following resolutions were unanimously carried : '' That jockeys should have an unregistered association among themselves and be represented by a deputation of jockeys to the executive of the Racing Conference anaually, or oftener if required ; that owners, breeders and trainers should form an association in each metropolitan centre to meet together not less than six times a year, a copy of all the resolutions passed and business done at each meeting of each association to be sent to each of the other associations ; once a year the delegates from each association to meet and arrange what suggestions or requests are to be put before the Racing Conference, and to appoint two delegates from among themselves ta represent them at the conference ; that the delegates appointed by Hawke's Bay District Committee be requested, in the event of licensing by the Conference, being carried at the next meeting of the Conference, to strongly oppose page 33, part 21, of new rule 7,"
