DEARER MONEY.

Second Edition

United Press Association —By Elec trie Telegraph—Copyright ■ Received June 23, noon London, June 22

The New South Wales loan, final instalment on 3rd September with six months’ interest on Ist February, lias been underwritten at a com mission of one par cent as compared with 25s paid in connection with recent British issues. There is a disposition in some financial circles to attribute the high price to the fear of legislation similar to Queens land, but the general opinion is that it is no reflection on New South Wales’ credit. It is pointed out that the conditions cabled on 21st May have not improved. The new high ieve is likely to set a new standard for other issues in the near future or later underwritten.
