United Press Association—By Blec trie Telegraph—Copyright Sydney, May 3 The Miners' Federation decided in view of the increased prices of commodities and other grievances, v to call on the Federal Government to arrange a conference with the owners, and, failing this, stop-work meetings will be held. It was also decided to hold a conference with the Watersiders, Seamen's and Bailway Unions for the purpose of arrving at a better understanding for the improvement of conditions, including wages and hours. Adelaide, May 3 A mass meeting of police demanded higher wages and decided to make no compromiso. Government has declined to meet the men until the no-compromise ultimatum is withdrawn.
