SIIR,—Will you allow me to make use of your columns to remind your readers of the public meeting to be held on Friday .evening next in connection with the proposed War Memorial to be erected in memory of those men from this district who paid the supreme sacrifice in,the late war. So far it has been left to a very few of the community to decide both the form and site of the proposed Monument. The form of Hie Memorial has been practically settled and the result of the motion tone moved on Thursday night means the choice of ohe of two available sites and it is to be hoped that there will be a large attendance of the public to help make the choice, and when the site is settled'by the vote of the majority I am sure that everyone will heartily co-operate in forwarding the erection of the Memorial on the site chosen.—l am, etc., » A, H.
