N.S.W. ELECTIONS.

Sydney, March 19. Although there appears very little outward sign of enthusiasm regarding the elections, big crowds attended the final rallies. The Nationalists’ appeal strikes a note of confidence as the winning party, Mr Holman states that never had a campaign of slander and misfepreseutation miscarried more fatally. People refused to believe that the members of the National Government were a band of criminals. 1 The Labour appeal says the anti-Lahour forces win* the State will be controlled by immoral alliances of intrigue and direct action. As a* reaction its slogan is “destroy.” Three hundred and thirteen candidates are standing in 24 electorates at to-morrow’s polls, representing Labour, Nationalists, Progressive, soldiers and citizens, Independents and Democrats. The counting of preferential votes i% likely to. be a long process. It will possibly be some time before tho final resulta are known.
