Wanganui Education Board met last night, Mr Pirani presiding. An application for grant for additions to school residence at Taihape was received. Tenders for heating service at Campbell Street School were held over. „ * The report hy Inspector Crawford re additions to school at Upper Re taruke was held over. , It ■was decided to feeep intact the building at present used as a school at Baiuesse, 4 ' A motion to make application tor a seetion of land in Campbell Street was carried. It was decided to endeavour to get additional laud for the extension of * the school grounds at Taouui. With regard td the question of the title to the school site at Upper Kawhatau, it was resolved to get the laud surveyed. - . The report by Messrs Pirani and Eraser re proposed purchase of new site at Ashhurat. was held over. An application was received from Marton committee for a supply oi nuiut for fence and shelter sheds at the High School. It was stated that ;t bad been decided, to make the presentation to the Prince of Wales in these grounds, and already the workers had commenced to clean up the road leading to the SchoolGranted. . A telegram was received, stating that the Koyal train conveying PLK.H. The Prince of Wales, would gou at Patea instead of Hawera,"for she* benefit of the school children.
