The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated the 13th inst, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand London meat market; There is no change in the price of English meat or imported beef, but from March 15th ail imported mutton will be reduced to 9d, and lamb will be increased to Is Id per lb wholesale, with a corresponding alteration in the retail price. Hemp; The Manila market was weak and declining early this week, but steadier at the close. Present quotations for *‘J*’ grade are; Janu-ary-March, shipment £7B, AprilJune sliipment*£69. The New Zealand market is quiet but steady. High points, Febrnary-Aprii shipment, sold at £6O on spot, and are quoted at £65; fair, on spot?, £6O; February-April shipment £59.
