PATRIOTIC FUND.

Per Press Asso nation Dargavllle, March 16 A meeting of Dargaville branch of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic War Relief Association was hold last evening for the purpose of hearing Mr Long, representative of the Auckland branch. The Mayor, Mr R. O, Hornblow, moved the following resolution, which was secoded by Mr J. N. Haves and carried uanimonaly:—That this committee strongly protest against the proposed nationalisation or centralisation of patriotic funds, and affirm the desirability of the funds raised in Auckland Province being used exclusively in the interests of soldiers who enlisted from the, Auckland Military Province district, and further that we pledge ourselves to do all in our power to strengthen the hands of the provincial executive in opposing the proposal to nationalise or centralise the funds of provincial associations.
