MARTON—TO-NIGHT, CLARA KIMBALL YOUNG. Imitation is the sincereat form of flattery, and in her performance of “Magda,” Clara Kimball Young is portraying the role that on the stage was made classie by such great artists as Bernhardt, Duse, Modjeksa, Mrs Fiske, Mrs Patrick Campbell, and Nance O’Neill. The drama lends itself to screen production, and no more suitable choice could have been made for the beautiful Clara Kimball Young. Physically she is a perfect Magda, emotionally she gets out of the part every atom of effect possible, and artistically she achieves her greatest triumph. A happy selection was made in Edward Kimball for the part of the father, and one ho is more than usually suited to, being the gifted Clara’s father in private life. THE DANDIEg OF 1930. On Monday night next “The Dandies of 1930” will appear at Marton Town Hall. The artists are said to be exceptionally capable and gifted with ability above the average. Their programmes have the merit of possessing many numbers that are entirely new, and it is said that quite a large, portion of the latest musical and comedy successes will be presented when the company makes its local appearance. Several seasons have passed since the original company of ‘‘The Dandies” first set a high standard in entertainments, and this has been maintained by each succeeding coterie. For brightness and vivacity, combined with quality and the speed with which they work, it is claimed that ‘ ‘Th'e Dandies of 1930” are ahead of any previous similar combination.
