WHEAT PRICES
GOVERNMENT’S IDEA OF VALUES. Per Press Association. Wellington, March 15 The Miaister of Agriculture, Hon. Nouworthy, announces that Cabinet has agreed to the following minimum prices for the season 1930-21: Tuscan 7s 3d per bushel, Hunters 7s od, Pearl 7s 9d, with three-farthings increment per mouth from Ist May, the increment being to cover storage. The farmers asked originally that the prices be Bs, 8s 3d, and 8s 6d respectively, and that they should cover the 1921-23 season as well. Mr Noswortby said to-day that the nnces agreed on were those offered by him to the conference on 26th February. Government had fixed the price for one season only in the hope 0& being able to adjust matters so as to allow a free market at the end of that time.
