RAILWAYMEN’S WAGES.
Dargaville, March 15. A meeting of the A. S. R. S. on Saturday night decider! to support the Executive Council in whatever action it sees fit to take to secure a substantial increase in wages. The following resolution was also passed : We heartily condemn the action of the Railway Department in keeping the funds of members who ordered clothing from the Defence stores for two months and then returning same without comment, Taihape, March 15. At a largely attended meeting of Taihape Branch of the A.S.R.S. yesterday the proposed increases of pay to railwayman were discussed and the meeting decided that a secret ballot of mm beta be taken on th(T •question of a strike.
