IRISH TROUBLES.
POLICE V RAIDERS. London, March 6 A dog’s bark warned the police in the Doon County, Limerick, that raiders were lodging gelignite to blow up the barracks. A half hour’s rifle and bomb fighting followed. The raiders were routed, leaving the police unwounded. The barracks were pitted with bullets and shell splinters. LANDLORD SHOT DEAD. London, March 8, James Butcher, owner of Clifden, in Galway, was found shot dead recently. The resident' magistrate and local clergy induced Butcher to surrender his castle property to his tenants. Lately he recovered possession as the result of a costly lawsuit. MORE MURDERS. Sergfc. Noazer was shot dead and Constable Doyle was wonnded while protecting a boycotted farmer at Ratbkeale, in County Limerick.
