Christchurch reports that Tom McKinley cut his throat with a razor at Darfield on Wednesday. He was a married man with a wife residing in Wellington It is understood that he has a brother at Gore. At an inquest on the body of James Donovan, who was killed as the result of being rnn over by a motor at the Thames, the evidence showed that deceased tripped over some grass and fell under the wheel of the car, which passed over the base of his head, his neck being broken. A verdict of accidental death was returned, no blame attachable to anyone.
