GERMANY’S PRESIDENT.
HINDENBURG FAVOURED. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received March 12, noon Berlin, March 7 There is a widespread movement in favour of the nomination of Hindenburg as President of Germany. He is wililng to accept nomination and is the most conspicuous figure in Germany acceptable to all parties, except the Independent Socialists. It is asserted even those opposed to militarism and the restoration of the Hohenzollerns support Hindenburg, but the Pan-Germans openly regard his election as an important step towards restoration of the monarchy in some form.
