The Cotton Control Board is allocating its surplus funds, a million sterling, for the relief of war hardships among operatives, and to finance trade research work. London, March 10. Mr Lloyd George has consented te receive a deputation representative of the cotton trade in regard te Government assistance in the development of cotton growing in the Empire. The deputation will plead for a larger subsidy than ten thonrf sand sterling annually for five‘years, which the Government^offered.
