N.Z. EXPEDITIONARY FORCE

Wellington, March 6 It is announced that the New Zealand Expeditionary Force shall cease to exist from 28th April, when there will he practically no more remaining on the strength. The principle underlying this decision is to “wrest all remaining members back to civilian life as soon as possible, thereby enabling them to draw their gratuity and particinate in repatriation benefits. All patients in military hospitals who are still members of the N. Z. E.F. will be affected by the decision, and they will automatically be placed under control of the War Pensions Board. It is considered that the decision will give general satisfaction to the patients, as it will remove difficulties In regard to payment of gratuities and obtaining loans from the Repatriation Board. Officers and men remaining in hospital or beine admitted subsequently will be paid the maximum pension for disablement, uccorJing to rank, will be quartered tree, and will enjoy repatriation privileges.
