MARTON RETAILER'S ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Executive of Marton Retailer’s Association decided that all business close at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3rd, Marton Show day, but conld not agree to close on Saturday March 20th for the Motor Clnb Sports. A deputation was formed and waited on Mr Glenn, M.P. with a request that he use his powers in Parliament to bring about a universal Saturday half holiday. Mr Glqnn gave the deputation a sympathetic hearing and promised to bring the matter before the Prime Minister at an an early date.
