Another conceit organised by Mrs W. L. Johnstone in aid of the Anglican Church new organ fund was given'in the Oddfellows Hall on Friday night. The attendance was nor as large us on the first occasion nor were those who did go quite as sympathetic. Audiences, like individuals, have moods and though one charm ever so sweetly, the mood refuses to pass. ‘So it was on Friday night. The concert opened with a pianoforte duet by Miss Johnston and Mr McOaw. Thereafter came a chorus by the company, and solo by Miss Loye, Misses Bailey, Jones, and Ida Johnston. During the interval Rev. K. J. McFarland on behalf of the vestry thanked Mrs Johnston and her assistants for her generous help. The second part was opened by a pianoforte solo by Mr McOaw, after which came a plantation lullabj’, solos hy Misses Ida Johnston, Vera Moyer, Helen Dawkins (instruental), and Moss Loyo, the whole being rounded oil’ with a abort dialogue. ‘‘The man behind the sofa. ”
