The Board of Control of the New Zealand Sports Protection League has decided to circularise candidates tor Parliament, urging ;them not to accede to the request of the Christchurch Uouncil of Churches to pledge themselves against an increase of totalizator permits. The Board's view is that the conditions upon which the question is to be determined 'have not yet been made known
