MOHAMMEDAN INDIA PROTEST S. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Oct. 29,9.30 a.m. Bombay, Oct. 27. Mohammedan India celebrated a day of fasting and prayer for the purpose of protesting i against the partition of Turkey diminution of the temporal power of the Sultan. The Kalif of the Moslems exhorted the Hindus to join in the observances and said no political changes could harm the power of Islam, as the fullest religious liberties were allowed under the British flag.
