The following exhibitors from this district were prize-takers at the Hawke’s Bay Show held at Hastings on Wednesday and Thursday In Shropshire Down sheep, besides winning the championships, Sir J. G. Wilson, of Bulls, was Ist and Sndfor ram hogget under 18 months; Ist and 2nd for ram under 30months; Ist and 2nd for aged ram; Ist and 2nd for pair ram hoggets under 18 months; Ist and 2ncPfor ewe hoggets under 18 months; Ist for ewe under 30 months with' lamb; Ist and 2nd for ewe over 30 months; Ist for pair of ewe hoggets under 18 months ; Ist and 2nd for rams shorn not more than four weeks before the Show, and Ist for shorn ewe with lamb. In Southdowns, Mr J. Knight, of Feilding, fairly swept the hoard. In addition to appropriating the championship he , was 2nd, 3rd and y, h. c. in class for ram hoggets under 18 months, Ist and 2nd in ram over 18 and under 30 months; Ist, 2nd and v.h.c. in rams over that age; Ist, 2nd and 3rd in ewe hoggets under 18 months; Ist in ewe over 30 mouths with lamb, Ist in ewe over 30 months with 3 lambs; Ist and 2nd for pair ewe hoggets under 18 months; Ist, 2nd and 3rd for ram under 18 months, shorn not more than four weeks before the Show; Ist, 2nd and 3rd in ewe under 18 months, shorn not more than four weeks before the show, and 2nd and v.h,c. for ewe under 30 mouths with iamb, shorn not more than four weeks before the show. In Friesian cattle Mr W. I. Lovelock, of Palmerston North, was first in 8-year-old bulls, and took the reserve championship. His entry received second award in the mature cow class, Mr H. K. Green, of Kairanga, was. Ist in the 2-year-old class, and took the reserve championship. His entry received second aw r ard in che mature cow class. Mr H. R. Green, of Kairanga, was Ist in the 2-year old class, and took the championship and was first in cows. In Shorthorns Mr W. F. Jacobs, of Kiwitea, was Ist with his 3-year-old'lmll.
