PARIS HOUSE SHORTAGE
London, Oct 12. Reuter’s correspondent at Paris states that the shortage of houses in the city and the increasing rents have resulted in the Senate passing a Bill suppressing profiteering in rents, and ordering owners to notify the authorities where any premises are unoccupied. The problem is so acute, however, that it is not believed that legislation /will solve it.
