TURAKINA NOTES.

From Our Own Correspondent. A social meeting of members of the 'Bible Class and Senior Girl’s Class of the Sabbath School was held in the Manse on Wednesday evening in honour of Miss Gil-landers,-teacher in the Maori .Girls’ School. “ Miss Gillanders, during her stay in Turakina, has been an active church worker. She has rendered splendid service to the Bible Class, and been an excellent teacher in the Sabbath School. As sue is engaged to be married, she has resigned her position, and will be leaving in December. Her friends and members of her class brought quite a number of useful articles as marriage presents. Rev. J. Wilson made the presentation and wished her every happiness in the future. Miss Gillanders feelingly replied. The evening was spent in parlour games and songs. At the close Mr and Mrs Wilson were given a vote of thanks for their kindness, on the motion of Miss Boyce, Mr T. Harrison has sold his dairy farm to Mr J. H. McLean, Invirmaillle, and has taken another farm at Alton in Taranaki, Mr Rogers, Turakina Valley, has sold his farm to Mr H. J.
