The War Office's latest news is that Yudenitch has occupied Gatchina an I Krasnoe Selo, where he practically destroyed the Baskir division which had been rushed up from the interior. Yudeuitch’ s cavalry cut the railways from Pet.rograd to Vitebsk, Moscow, and Vologda. The white flag was hoisted on the fort cf Kronstadt on the 17th, but details are unknown. The garrison aUPetrogral are preparing the city,for siege, and are posting machine guns in houses covering the principal streets.
