SHOOTING.

MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING. MATCH AT BULLS. The challenge match between teams representing the Bulls Tennis Club (challengers) and the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club, was fired in the Bulls Town Hall on Tuesday evening, and resulted in ’a win_ for the Rifie Club by a margin of 71 points. F. Simpson and T. Richardson were the only ones to register a possible during the evening. The shooting, considering want of practice of many firers, w r as very good. A special feature of the match was the excellent shooting of the lady members of both teams, who registered some fine scores. The following ar e the detailed results : RANGITIKEI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB,

At a committee meeting of the Rifle Club held after the match it was decided to issue challenges for miniature rifle matches to the Returned Soldiers in the district, the Feildiug Rifle Culb and the Linton Rifie Club (Palmerston North). It was also decided to invite the Returned Soldiers to fire a match on the range against the Club. Conditions as" laid down in practices 5-6-7-8 and 9of the class firing course. As this shooting will count for class firing for the coming year as many Rifle Club members as possible will be requested to attend.
