ADDINGTON MARKETS. Per Press Association. Christchurch, June 18. At Addington market to-day there were large entries of fat sheep and tat cattle, and moderate entries in other classes. The market was firmer for all classes of sheep, and the yarding of fat cattle was not only one of the largest but of the best for quality since last spring. There was a decided improvement in the demand tor store sheep, and all classes advanced in price. There was a small and poor entry of store cattle, and the large yarding of dairy cows was of moderate quality. Fat pigs sold well. The range of prices was as follows: — Store Sheep.—Ewe hoggets, ISs 6d to 28s: two and four-tooth ewes, to 23 6d; four and six-tooth ewes, 235; sound-mouth ewes, 17s 2d to 26s 4d; wether hoggets, 15s 9d to 26s lOd; two-tooth wethers, 17s 3d to 2os lOd ; four-tooth wethers, 21s to 25s 3d; ewe lambs, to 24s lOd; wether lambs, 15s to 17s 9d; mixed lambs, 11s to 20s. Fat Lambs: Show lambs, 41s to 455; extra prime, to 345; prime 28s to 31s 6d; medium, 23s 6d to 27s 6d; lighter 17s 7d to 235. Fat sheep: Extra prime wethers, to 58s, prime 36s to 45s 6d, medium 31s to 35s 6d, lighter 27s to 30s 3d; Merino wethers, to 30s 8d; extra prime ewes to 50s, prime 35s to 40s, medium 27s 6d to 345, lighter 20s to 275. Fat Cattle: Extra prime steers, to £26 10s, prime £l4 10s to £2l, ordinary £8 10s to £l4 ss; extra prime heifers to £ls 12s 6d, prime £lO to £l4 2s 6d, ordinal}' £6 15s to £9 7s 6d ; prime cows £lO 5s to £ls. ordinary £6 15s to £9 15s, vealers, runners £5 to £8 ss, good £3,4s to £4 15s, fair 37s to £2 16s, small and inferior 6s to 31s.
