f Fer Praas Asaost&tiom) Nelson, May 1. A recount of the Mayoral election votes increases the majority of Mr W. W. Snodgrass to 94. Napier, May 1. A mistake was discovered about midnight in the Mayoral polling, which left Mr J. V. Brown, M.P., with a.majority of three. There are presistent rumours of other mistakes and the recount result is awaited with much interest. The Hastings Mayoral election resulted :—G. Ebbett 1487, W. Hart 994, H. lan Simpson 189, F.
