PLUNKET SHIELD MATCH. Per Press Association. Christchurch. February 22, The Plunket Shield match, Auckland v Canterbury, was resumed today, the conditions being perfect in every respect. Ounteroury continued their first innings, whicn closed for 281—Jmes 10 Wood 9, Brnntou 40, Thomas 73, Gray 72, McEwin 17, Howell ' (not out) 9. Smith got sis ■wickets for IG9 and Coates 8 ior'63. Auckland made 142—Hetnus 41, Horpspool 11, Slomau 20, Beveradge 19, Mcßeth get nine wickets for 56, McEwin one for 54. At the call of time, Canterbury, in their second innings had lost fonr wickets for 209—Lusk 94. Tones 51, Wood 25, Hayes (not out]22.
