In the Rutherford murder case Mrs Rutherford’s maid gave evidence that Dr. Ruhrerford refused to allow men’s photographs in the house, and he was subject to outbreaks of unreasonable temper, A few days before Rutherford arrived from France his wife gave witness Dr. Seaton’s photograph, which had been in her dressing room, and told her to put it in witness’s bedroom. The witness emphatically denied seeing any impropriety between Seaton and Mrs Rutherford.
