Auckland, Feb 21 At the City Council meeting several speakers expressed strong opposition to the increase of tramfares involved in the Mayor’s scheme for the settlement of the tramway dispute. The Council resolved that negotiations with the Company be continued and referred the matter t° the committee of the whole Council for consideration and report.
