ADDINGTON MARKET. Per Press Association Christchurch, Feb 19 Ac Addington to-day there, was the largest entry of store sheep this season, including some North Island ewes. Best quality .ewes sold well, ani the market for wethers remained steady at late rates. There was a good demand for forward lambs Best 3th ewes 32s to 36s 6d, good 30s to 31s Bd, medium 38s 6d to 29a 6d, poorer from 235, 4 and 6ths 26s to 37a, 6 and Sths 25s to 26a 6d, smaller awes from 19s to 255, 2fch wethers 21s 6d to2 ss, 4 and 6th wethers 26s to 37s 6d, best rape lambs 23s 6d to 25s 6d, good 21s to 23a, medium 17s 6d to 20s, poorer 15s to 17s, culls from 7s 6d. The entry of tat lambs totalled 2851. The general quality was good, and exporters took most of the lots. Extra prime to 35s 6d, prime 27s 6d to 335, medium 24s 6d to 275, light 23s|4cl. , There was a largo yarding or tat sheep, mostly of good quality Ewes and wethers were almost equally rapresented. A medium quality of yealers was entered, and there was good competition. Runners £4 14s to £5 15s, good vealers 53s to 83 s.fair 35s to 40s, small and inferior 6s to 3ls. There was a medium yarding of store cattle and the quality was rather indifferent. Best w fi thers 43a to 40s 6d. extra 56s 3d, medium to good 34s to 36s 6d, others |27s to 80s, best ewes 34s to 38a, extra 43s 6d, mediurts to good 29s to 31s, others‘24s to 28s. Lambs.—A small entry of 401 was penned. The gnality yraa medium, and prices were ou~a par with last week's rates. Pigs.—Thera was a large yarding of fats. Competition was good, bat late rates were not maintained. The entry af stores was much beyond requirements, and a sharp slump in prices resulted. Many pees were sold at half late rates, STOCK REPORT. MeasfS Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsouville sale as follows: —We had {a record entry with a yarding of about 5500 sheep. There was a fair demand for all clas&es and neatly everything was disposed of at prices ruling at other ‘-centres. We quote:—Fat wethers, S9B 10d to 31s 9d, 4 and 6 tooths 80s 4d, 4-tooths 29s 64 to Bis 7d, 8 tboth 21a to 27s 7d, fat ewes 29s Id, 'f.m ewes 235, 2 tooths |33s store fcwes 12s, prime fat lambs 235, store lambs 3s 6d, wether lambs 11s, culls 5s 5d to 8s 7d.
