A sensation was created in the city to-night by a report that a number of troops from the Argyleshire had broken quarantine and several arrests had been made. It appears that the men are bitter against the Federal bungling in lauding 1200 at Melbourne instead of coming direct to Sydney, resulting in the necessity for quarantining here. It is false reported that a case of influenza has developed aboard since leaving Melbourne. Melbourne, February 9. Doctors admit that the influenza cases are more severe than formerly.
