Abraham and Williams report; We submitted a large catalogue to a fair attendance of buyer, who competed keenly for everything offered with the exception of tallow which showed a decided decline compared with the last sales. Heavy ox hides slightly easier while medium and light were on a par. Cow hides and calf skins were in keen demand at last sales rates. We quote:— Hides—Ox heavy to 12%d, px medium ll%d, ox light to 10%d, cow heavy 9%d to 10%d, cow medium 9)4 to 10%ci, cow light 9%d to cut slippy and inferior 6}4d to bull, tag 7d to 9}4d, yearlings 9%d to 17%d, calf medium to good 12d to 17%d, calf damaged 3d to loigd. Tallow —ln casks 25s (5d to 36s 6d, in tins 22s to 345, rabbit skins 9>£.

You have perhaps heard a lot of talk of high values for dried milk and cheese.
