EARNED—NOT BOUGHT
How hard it often is to earn and maintain a good reputation, and how easy it is to lose one. As with a man’s reputation, so it is with other things in his life. Some things achieve a reputation which stays with them. They are founded on intrinsic value. They fact the pubic backed up by honesty, and work their way thoroughl}' and quietly. . They waut no better proof of merit than is contained in the following experience:— Mrs. A. Joues, 31 .Varwick Street, Fielding, says:—“Four or live years ago I had a bad attack of Infiuenzia. Just as I was recovering I caught a fresh cold and was for a time in a bad way. I got somewhat better, but was left with a terrible backache. The pains started just above the kidneys and ■would strike up to the back of my head. Every moment increased the pain, and the only way I could get relief was to lie down. One day Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills were brought under my notice as a special remedy for backache, so I got some et once, and I am pleased to tell you that a thorough course cured me completely. It’s grand to be free of this awful complaint, and I cannot s-?v enongh in praise of these line pills. They cured me, and will, I am sure, cure others.” Sixteen years after, Mrs Jones savs:—“My cure by Doan’s backache Kidney Pills has stood the test; of time. I am still well to-day.”
