A SHORT STRIKE
Per Press Association. Whangaiei, August 14. § The employees of the Hikurangi Coal Go. ’a mine ceased work at midnight, and held a meeting at 10 o’clock this morning, and decided to resume thus afternoon.
The men employed at the Northern (.Co.’s mines at Hikurangi and Kiripaka are not affected, as they are working on contract.
