CHAULHES ANB ROYE PROBABLY NOT CAPTURED

Received August 13, 11.20 a.in. London, August 12. Recent casualties are reliably estimated at a hundred thousand. The report of the capture of Chaulues .I..action is unconfirmed. The reported fall of Koye was probably due to confusion in names. Up to yesterday afternoon the enemy had thrown in twenty reserve divisions south of the Somme.
