MARTON RED CROSS.

A very successful meeting of the Marton Red Cross was held in the depot on Tuesday 7,. August 6th. Cases were packed and despatched to Wellington, containing the following articles 50 pairs pyjamas, 39 singlets, 21 bed jackets, 20 pairs day soxs, 1 pair flannel pyjamas, 1 flannel bed jacket, 1 pair dying sox, 8 pairs bed sox, 40 3in. rolled bandages, 6 pillow cases, 2 knitted waistcoats, 2 pairs mittens, 2 scarves. 1 dozen handkerchiefs, 4 bundles old linen, S day shirts, 3 dressing gowns, 92 dabs, 23 m.t. bandages, 4 eye bandages, magazines, bags and scraps for limb cushions.

Turakiua Valley Red Cross: — 8 day shiits, 8 purs pyjamas. The Committee extend the wannest of thanks to all workers and donors who helped in any way to make the meeting a success.
