MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL Y. GEORGE CLARK.

WHEREAS under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1908, judgment was given in the Magistrate’s Court, at Marton, on the 22nd day of May, 1913, for the sum of Three pounds Six shillings and sevenpence (as appears by the Certificate of Judgment for rates) being arrears of rates and costs due by the above-named George Clark as the owner of all that piece of land situate at Cubbaballa Street in the Borough of Marton, being section or allotment Number 81 of Block 16 on the official plan of the Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve. And whereas, as required by the said Act, notice was duly given on 9th day of September, 1915, by posting on the said section a notice that the said land would be sold or leased by public auction after six months from the date of such notice unless the amount incurred for judgment and costs were sooner paid. And whereas the amount due as aforesaid is still unpaid now I do hereby give notice that Messrs Stevens & Tucker have been instructed to sell at their Auction Rooms, Marton, on SATURDAY, the 17th day of August, 1918, at 2.30 p.ra. all that estate and interest of the said George Clark in the said piece of land. And I hereby give further notice that if such property be not sold it will be put up for letting on such date aforesaid iipon such conditions and for such time as will satisfy the arrears of rates and the costs incidental to the collection thereof up to the date of payment.
