Bank balance reported on 16th July as Cr. £291 IBs gd, ; Queen’s Park Insurance in hand £1000; Beaconstield Insurance in hand £225. FOREMAN’S REPORTS. Erection of chimney at Carnarvon was approved. A grant , was made towards the erection of a partition. ■ Two new shelter sheds to be erected at Rongotea. Grant of £2O for improving drainage at Fielding D. H. S. Account for repairs, £6 4s Id, passed for payment. Repairs to shelter slaed, paths, and school to be carried out. Renovations to the extent of £45 to be carried out on residence an Parewanui. OTHER BUISNBSS. Taonui is to be assisted £ for £ in laying drain, etc. Grant to Raurimu for carting pumice. Rangiitaua grimed £g Is 8d for glazing windows broken by gale. Subsidy of £ for £ granted to Sanson for re-glazing and metaling. Glen Orona granted £3 ter residence. Foreman to be asked to report on matter of fencing at Makotuku. Raurimu granted £6 towards cost of fence. Wages of painters increased one shilling day. Question of establishing a small household school at Okautere lAslihurst) was left to the Chief Inspector to rep -rt on. The Education Department made a grant for the temporary premises at Beacomfield.

Proposed new site at Cosl Creek was agreed to. The education Department having declined to approve of the proposed site for the Technical School at Raetihi, the matter is to be further explained to the Department. Mr Pi ran i was re-appointed to represent the Education Board on the Wanganni Girls’ College Board.

N. Z, Fruit Growers’ Federation proposed essay competition was referred to the Chief Insepctor, and the Federation is lo be thanked for its generosity.
