WRECK OF RED CROSS STEAMER.

GOES ON THE ROCKS AT GAPE RACE. MANY LIVES LOST. (Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association St. John New Foundland, Feb. 27. The Red Cross liner, Florizel, bound to Halifax, struck the rocks north of Cape Race, in u blinding snowstorm. The ship carried 77 passengers and sixtynine of a crew, including a number of orlicers and soldiers. Dories and lifeboats rescued twentysix after they had spent a night on the wreck. Numbers of bodies Jiave been washed ashore, apparently from wrecked boats. Other regfcues bring the total saved so far to fortv.
