BOROUGH AFFAIRS.
THE MISSSNG COUNCILLORS—WHERE ARE THEY? SIR, —How interested some of our Borough Councillors must oe in their weak; how-grateful they are to the electors for putting them there, how regular they do not attend tiro jpee tings, must make one wonder what they are put there for. In two consecutive weeks we read in your columns about the Borough Council. Your first report stated that the Mayor, Town Clerk and Councillors Bush and Miles attended, but tiie meeting lapsed for want of a quorum. This week we again notice, that three Councillors were absent without apologies, and that certain business wns held over —till when? Till the Councillors please themselves to attend, or until they resign in favour of representatives who can transact tiio borough affairs. An_ explanation is certainly required.—l am, etc., . “RATEPAYER,”
