FEILDING HIGH SCHOOL.

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. The function toook place yesterday morning at the school in the presence of a large number of parents. Mr F. Fitzxaatrick, chairman of the school committee presided and gave an address to the children, which the elders a(SO found instructive. About nine items, songs and recitations, were given byscholars. The Rector, Mr EL H. Richardson road a report on the work of th 3 school during the past year, in which bo stated that the proficiency results were satisfactory; physical instruction had boeen given bj r the several teachers; 8 pupils had received certificates for proficiency in | life saving drill; and the school had i raised £52 7s 8d for patriotic purposes. For essay on the landing at Gallipoli, prizes given by the Patriotic Society;—L. Richardson Ist, gold medal; C. N. Boddy 2, book; Standard 5 and (>, C. W. Baker I, gold medal; M. Richardson 2, book; Standardly and 3, A. NclslonJ, gold medal: R. Vail 2, book. Very good books on stock were presentedJ:o the following on behalf of the A.“ and P.
