SPREADING OF CIVIL WAR.
CONFUSION WORSE CONFUSED. (Received Thursday, S.4G p.m.') PETROGRAD, Dee. 19. Civil war is spreading northward along the Volga from Astrakhan to Samara. The Maximalists occupy Astrakhan, while the Cossacks are twenty versts distant. An extraordinary situation exists at Baritsio, where neither the Cossacks nor Maximalists have the mastery, both having been beaten by the Iliodoriuites.
