Mr Edward Newman, M. P., has received the following letter from the Rt. Hon. Mr Massey, Minister of Lands: —Sir —Referring to your request that legislation be provided to permit of ■ the expenditure of funds derived from Sandon Public Park upon the upkeep of the Sandon Public Hall, I have to advise you that the necessary legislation is jirovided by Section 56 of the Reserves Disposal Act, 1917.
