MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL. PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Manawatu County Council held on Saturday, 6th October 1017, a Special Order as follows was adopted. “In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 167 of “ The Counties Act 1908 ” the Manawatu County Council on the petition of a majority of Ratepayers of the - district hereinafter mentioned resolves by way of Special Order as follows : 1. The part of the County of Manawatu described in the schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a district for the purpose of the construction of drainage works therein. 2. The name of the said district shall be the Makowhai Drainage District. 8. This Special Order shall take effect on the first day of December 1917. SCHEDULE. Commencing at a point in the centre of the Rangitikei River thence Eastward along the Northern boundary of section 361, Block 11, Te Kawau Survey District to the North-western boundary corner of Section 205, thence Northward along the Western boundaries of Sections 359, Block 11, Te Kawau Survey District and sections 358, 357, 202, 201, 200, Block XIY, Rangitoto Survey District to Section 11, Mangamohoe, thence Eastward along the Southern boundary of the said section 14 to section 6, Mangamahoe, thence ! Northward along the Western boundaries of the said section 6 and sections 5. 4. 3c. 3b. 3a. 2 and Ito section 23, Block XV, Rangitoto, thence Westward to section 135, thence Northwards along the North-western boundaries of sections 23, 62, 63, and part section 65 to the South-east corner of section 60, thence Southward in a direct line to Kakariki Road, thence Southward to the Bulls-Sandon Road,thence South-eastwards along the said road to the Sanson Township to Section 15, thence Southward along the Eastern boundaries of sections 15, 16, 17, 44 and 43 to Pennys Line, thence Eastward along Pennys Line to HammondsWaitohi Road, thence Southward along that road to the Southern boundary of Section 238, Block 111, Te Kawau District, thence Westward along the Southern boundaries of sections 238, 232, and 231, to section 33, thence Southward along the Eastern boundary of section 33 and 34, thence Westward along tho Southern boundary of section 34 to the Poxton-Sandon Road, thence in a direct line across section 35 to the Southern corner of section 14 of the Makowhai Soldier Settlement, thence along the Southern boundaries of the said section 14 and sections 13, 12, 11 to section 10, i thence Northward along the Western houndary of section 10 to a point 10 chains from the Makowhai stream, thence Westward along the Makowhai watershed ridge running through the said section .10 and section 9 of the Makowhai Soldier Settlement, and through sections 362 and 216, Block 11, Te Kawau Survey District, to the I Rangitikei River and thence along the said river to tho commencing point. i The foregoing Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Manawatu County Council to be held at the County Offices, Sanson, at 10 a.m. on TUESDAY, the 6th November, 1917, * A.
