HAIG REPORTS SUCCESS.

PRAISE FOR VARIOUS UNITS, fill OBJECTIVES SAINED. (Received Thursday, 12.50 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 10.

Sir Douglas Haig reports: Continuous heavy rain yesterday afternoon and. evening* made tlic ground sodden and very difficult for the passage of troops. A considerable advance was made in the centre between the main ridge and Poclcappelle. li includes the capture of many fortified farms and concrete redoubts.
