TO-MORROW NIGHT

ANOTHER “METRO.” The new programme to be screened to-morrow night at the Cinema will include a Metro masterpiece en tilted “Pennington’s Choice,” featuring Francis X. Bushman and Beveriv Bayne. The story of.tbe film is as follows: Robert Pennington, a wealthy society idol, falls in love with Eugenia Blondeau, a girl from the backwoods of Canada, who, though reciprocating his affection, refuses to consent to their marriage until Robert proves h imself a man in the eyes of her stern old father. Pennington, on arrival at the home of Jules Blondeau, is ordered to the woods for a mouth of the primitive life with Pierre, a guide. He runs away from Eugenia’s brothers, who had soundly beaten him, and finds bis old friend, J. J. Jeffries, the famous pugilist, on a hunting trip. Taking boxing lessons from his old friend, Pennington returns to Pierre, beats Louis and Roland Blondeau and goes to claim Eugenia from her father, having “made good.” Finally he frustrates an attempt to deprive Blondeau pere of bis land, and is reserved into the family with open arms. The scenery is exquisite, and the acting superb.
