■ i.i The week after next, on the Ist. 2nd and 3rd November (Wednesday. Thursday and Friday), the above Show, which will be the thirty-first Spring Show held by the Association, wil! be held Advices from Palmerston North statetbat entries’have come in very well and an excellent show is assured provided there is anything like weather for it. The secretary informs onr correspondent that the number of new names appearing amongst the exhibitors is most striking, indicating the spreading desire for high-class stock. The value of our agricultural shows in raising the grade of onr produce is not to be denied, and those . who bear the heat and burden of the day necessary in tho promotion of them deserve the support and thanks of all classes of the communit3'. The accommodation for live stock at Palmerston North is excellent, particularly in the case of cattle, sheep, pigs and dogs. This fact coupled with the central position of the town, makes it almost irresistible to show enthusiasts. The best blood stock in the country gravitates to this Show, and it is here that many North Island championships are contested. To those of onr readers who are anxious to find out why New Zealand holds such a high place in the matter of high-class produce, we | would recommend a visit to this fix- j ture, and as Palmerston North is a full town at Show time it would he a wise procedure to at once arrange for accommodation,
